Quick Checklist Summary: For KEA DCET document verification, every candidate must produce original copies plus 3 attested photocopy sets: (1) DCET Hall Ticket signed by the invigilator, (2) KEA Application Form printout, (3) SSLC/10th marks card, (4) All semester diploma marks cards (1st to 6th), (5) Diploma Provisional Degree Certificate (PDC), and (6) 7 Years Study Certificate counter-signed by the Block Education Officer (BEO). Reserved category candidates additionally require valid Caste/Income certificates (Form-D/E/F) and Article 371J certificates if claiming Kalyana Karnataka quota.

1. Why Document Preparation Is as Critical as Your DCET Rank

Every year in Karnataka, hundreds of diploma students achieve spectacular DCET ranks (Top 100 or Top 500) but experience severe delays or disqualification during KEA Document Verification due to missing paperwork.

If your documents are incomplete on the scheduled verification day, your category claim (OBC, SC, ST, Rural, Kannada Medium, or 371J) may be cancelled and converted to General Merit (GM), drastically reducing your chances of getting Computer Science or AI/DS at RVCE, BMSCE, or MSRIT.

2. Mandatory Core Documents (For All Candidates)

Regardless of your caste, category, or branch, every diploma candidate must produce the following original certificates:

# Mandatory Document Issuing Authority & Details
1 KEA DCET Registration Confirmation Page Downloaded final copy of your online application submitted to KEA.
2 DCET Original Hall Ticket (Admit Card) Must have the signature of the exam invigilator and candidate thumb impression.

5 Provisional Degree Certificate (PDC) Course completion certificate issued by BTE / DTE Karnataka.
6 7 Years Karnataka Study Certificate Certifying 7 continuous academic years in Karnataka. Must be counter-signed by BEO/DDPI.

3. Category & Quota Reservation Documents

If you are claiming fee concessions or seat reservations under Karnataka's affirmative action policies, you must present the following specific certificates:

4. The KEA Verification Slip & Secret Key: Protect It!

Once the KEA verification officer validates your original certificates against the online database, they will issue an official Verification Slip.

Your Verification Slip contains a unique Secret Key (Password) and User ID. This Secret Key is required to create your password and log into the KEA Option Entry Portal. Never share your Secret Key with friends, cyber café operators, or unauthorized agents. Unauthorized access can lead to changes in your college preference order!
